What You Believe Matters Most in Schooling

Trends in education come and go, but good teaching remains constant.  Teachers can influence the development of social skills, work and study habits, a positive attitude in order to promote a love of learning, and the ability to effectively interact with others.

What You Like Most About KBS

I love everything about KBS!  As a teacher, I appreciate my supportive, hard-working, creative, and dedicated colleagues who encourage each other to strive for teaching best practises.  As a parent, I love knowing my children are in classes with caring faculty, that activities and opportunities are encouraged for the development of the whole child, and that they are surrounded by a strong sense of community.

Hobbies & Interests

You can find me running in half marathons or cycling around Simcoe County, making a healthy meal for my family and friends, or reading a good book with a glass of wine.  I enjoy our family movie and game nights (but not the arguing about whose turn it is to pick the snack).  I spend a lot of time doing crafts with my two girls, listening to their music practises, hiking, and sharing stories with them at bedtime.  I also enjoy theatre, date nights with my hubbie, and making plans for our next decorating or reno project.
