What You Believe Matters Most in Schooling

I have not been a teacher for very long in the grand scheme of things but I believe very deeply in the importance of schooling. For most children, their school is a second home. They come to school for a sense of community and for the chance to learn in a fun and safe environment. We are here to guide them on their journey through school. As teachers, we want students to be curious and find their passion through thoughtful lessons that push each student to their potential.

What You Believe Matters Most in Education

I believe that differentiation matters the most in Education. No two children are alike, and the same can be said of each child’s education. I believe creating lessons that meet the needs of every student help them progress and become confident in their own abilities. By having an education that caters to the students needs, each student becomes capable of greatness!

What You Like Most About KBS

From the moment I walked in the doors, I have felt a sense of community at KBS. I was welcomed with open arms and it was clear that Students, Teachers, and Parents loved being within these walls. I have grown to love being here and I always look forward to coming in and teaching all of the children. Each class is unique and has a wonderful set of children who help me be the best teacher I can be.

Hobbies & Interests

I am a very open person and love meeting new people. I play many sports but my top two are volleyball and hockey. I love having conversations and talking about hockey or travelling is a good way to start a conversation up. I recently moved back from England, where I taught full time for 2 years. I loved my time there and got to see a lot more of the world, which was amazing. I am also a gym nut and love waking up early to start a workout, I am a certified TRX instructor and used to teach classes in Thunder Bay. If you ever want to know more, I am always up for a good chat!
