Building character, learning to be social with others, and honing life skills to be successful are what I believe are the most important aspects of school.
It’s important for students to learn how to learn. You’re never going to learn everything in school, so it’s important to know how to figure something out on your own through problem-solving and inquiry. It’s also important to recognize the importance of learning through mistakes; we learn by taking risks, not by being perfect.
KBS is like a family. I love that I can walk down the hall and recognize all of the faces. The people in this place make me smile and laugh each and every day.
On weekends you can find me at the Farmer’s Market, the library, the forest or on the tennis courts. I love spending time with family and friends and taking my dog for hikes. I have the travel bug and really enjoy learning about different cultures. Thailand holds a special place in my heart as I spent 7 years living there and my daughter, Akira, was born there.
